INGSTROM ESCAPE CHUTE

The Ingstrom Escape Chute is the fastest and most efficient escape system on the market. When permanently installed, the escape chute is ready to use within a few seconds from release. It enables as many as 30 people a minute to be evacuated.

All you need do is sit on the edge of the chute with your feet in the chute, lower yourself in and feel the chute grip you.

Lower yourself further, and by pushing your legs against the inside of the chute you can stand up and support yourself.

Relax your legs and you start to slide through the chute, by pressing your legs or arms against the chute you will slow down.

The application of Emergency Escape Chutes onto fixed and mobile mining equipment was first initiated in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales, Australia in 1998.
